VIDEO: UFO LANDS IN SIBERIA, ALIENS EXIT CRAFT

They're here: In this still from the film clip, an object which appears to be disc-shaped with flashing lights hovers above the Siberia landscape

For an alien looking to explore Earth, the frozen wastes of Siberia may not be the most attractive of landing locations.

But if this film footage is to be believed, that’s exactly where these ‘little green men’ chose to land their UFO.

The clip, filmed in the remote Irkutsk region of Siberia, appears to show a strange glowing craft and five aliens walking about in the snow.

It shows what seems to be an alien about four feet tall, standing 15 feet away from its glowing craft, with four other similar figures nearby.

The short clip was taken two days after mysterious lights illuminated the Siberian night skies above Bayanday, also in Irkutsk.

‘These two videos from two independent witnesses show that a UFO event of Roswell-sized proportions has taken place in Russia,’ said UFO expert Mike Cohen.

‘Two days after these clips were taken the town of Bayanday reported a crash of a huge pink and blue glowing object.

‘An enormous explosion was then heard over a wide area.’

He claimed police and rescue departments were flooded with phone calls from frightened residents.

‘The military soon confirmed that it had not been doing any exercises in the area and therefore cannot be responsible for any reports of UFOs,’ he added.

But he claims the authorities organised a cover-up of the UFO landing.

Officials declared the event classified and told journalists the area of impact would not be revealed, he said.

Only hours prior to the March 1 event, air-traffic controllers in Yakutks, Siberia, claim to have picked up a UFO on radar traveling at 6000 mph at a height of 65,000ft.

When they tried to speak with the crew of the craft they heard bizarre cat noises being uttered to them.

‘What I want to know is did the craft actually crash at all or was this just a noisy landing?’ said Mike.

The latest UFO claim to come out of Siberia comes months after the apparent discovery of an alien’s body was revealed as a hoax.

In April, two students who claimed to have recovered the body from a UFO crash site admitted that the creature was in fact made out of BREAD.

Friends Timur Hilall, 18, and Kirill Vlasov, 19, shot the video that showed the alien’s mangled remains frozen in snow in Irkutsk, Siberia.

The pair were questioned by police over their ‘extraterrestrial discovery’ but admitted to their stunt.

But not before their creation became an internet sensation, drawing almost 700,000 hits on YouTube.

Their find was deemed serious enough for the Kremlin to get involved and a spokesman from the Russian interior ministry confirmed the hoax.

‘We found the alien in one of the student’s homes,’ he said.

‘It was lying under his bed and an examination of it revealed it had been made of bread crumbs which were covered in chicken skin.’

Prosecutors are now considering whether or not the pair have committed any crimes.

FALLING UFO IN AMSTERDAM?

UFO IN AMSTERDAM

Examiner.com writes:

Amsterdam was the scene of a strange UFO sighting when an object fell from the sky during broad daylight on August 5, 2011.  The descent of the falling object was captured on a video that lasts longer than four minutes.

The UFO is nearly the same shade of gray as the skies that surround it, but slightly darker.  It is vaguely spherical in shape and moves downward at a fairly slow rate of speed.

The YouTube user who posted this video described the UFO as follows:  “Watch an object that otherwise gets routinely dismissed as a Chinese lantern morph into something completely different.”  The video is from the YouTube channel theInterzone.

In the video, you can see that the object disappears behind a large building.  It doesn’t appear to have any lights or other illumination.  From the way the object moves, it does appear that its trajectory is being affected by the wind.

CRASHED FLYING SAUCER FOUND ON SEA FLOOR?

A mysterious circle on a grainy scan, this is what scientists are claiming is finally evidence that Earth has been visited by aliens.

Researchers have claimed the fuzzy outline is a flying saucer that ended up 300ft down on the ocean floor between Sweden and Finland.

They were stunned when sonar scans taken while searching for a century-old wreck showed up the shape against the dirt.

UFO? Sonar scans taken while searching for a century-old shipwreck on the ocean floor between Sweden and Finland showed up this fuzzy outline

The ocean exploration team which found it claims that the earth around the craft has been scarred, suggesting it has tried to move around.

Lead researcher Peter Lindberg also suggested that another explanation could be that it was ‘a new Stonehenge’.

The ‘discovery’ has sparked a flurry of speculation by UFO watchers and bloggers.

Some have even suggested it resembles the Millennium Falcon from the Star Wars series, with its distinctive front forks and round shape.

Newspapers in Sweden have put the story on their front pages and asked if this is really the first sign of extra-terrestrial life.

The shape was found at the bottom of the Gulf of Bothnia during a search for a sunken wreck which contained several cases of champagne.

The shape was found at the bottom of the Gulf of Bothnia during a search for a sunken wreck which contained several cases of champagne

Mr Lindberg said it was large and about 60ft in diameter and clearly visible on the sea bed.

‘You see a lot of weird stuff in this job, but during my 18 years as a professional I have never seen anything like this. The shape is completely round,’ he said.

He added that the scars on the earth surrounding it could show where the craft landed and skidded along.

Now, however, his team do not have the money or resources to examine the shape further.

If it does turn out to be a UFO it will be priceless, but if it is just a shape, it will be worthless.

THE FUTURE IS HERE! A FLYING SPHERE IS REALITY!

It’s only a matter of time until this technology is applied to a vehicle that can seat a human being!

Dailymail.co.uk writes:

Its Japanese developers call it the ‘Futuristic Circular Flying Object’ and it’s designed to go where humans can’t.

The radio-controlled sphere, roughly the size of a basketball, was built for search and rescue operations, specifically to fly in and out of buildings weakened by earthquakes or other natural disasters.

The device uses its onboard camera to transmit live images of whatever it sees.

Fumiyuki Sato, at the Japanese Defense Ministry’s Technical Research and Development Institute, invented and built the vehicle for roughly 110,000 yen (£865 / $1,390) with parts purchased off the shelf at consumer electronics stores.

He said: ‘Because of its spherical shape, it can land in various positions and tumble to move around the ground.’

It zips through the air, glides smoothly around corners, and negotiates staircases with ease, all the while emitting a soft hum.

UFO IS FOUND USING GOOGLE EARTH!

Wow, someone just stumbled upon this image of a UFO over Cape Town, Africa using Google Earth! What else haven’t we found out there, maybe monsters in the oceans?

I know what I’m doing this evening.

Unexplained-mysteries.com writes:

It isn’t clear what the object is or if it is a genuine image, further analysis suggests a second UFO may be present in the upper left however it isn’t as clear. Has Google caught something unexplained with its cameras or is there a more down to earth explanation ?

WAS ROSWELL UFO A SOVIET SPY PLANE MANNED BY DEFORMED CHILDREN?

Author Annie Jacobsen and her book 'Area 51'

Devotees of science fiction have been convinced for decades that an alien spacecraft crashed in the desert of New Mexico – and that the American government covered up the recovery of extraterrestrial bodies.

The so-called Roswell Incident of 1947 spawned conspiracy theories by the score.

But now, sadly for UFO spotters, a new book offers an entirely man-made – and some would say even more bizarre – explanation, featuring two of the greatest villains of 20th century history: the Soviet dictator Josef Stalin and the infamous Nazi “Angel of Death” Dr Joseph Mengele.

During a powerful storm in July, 1947, an object crashed near a rancher’s home in Roswell, New Mexico.

Roswell army air base initially said that a “flying disc” had come down, but hours later, as government scientists arrived in the area, it was stated instead that a weather balloon had crashed.

The incident went largely unreported until books and documentaries in the 1970s made allegations of alien life forms.

Area 51, the new book by Annie Jacobsen, is based on interviews with scientists and engineers who worked in Area 51, the top secret test base in the Nevada desert.

It dismisses the alien story and puts forward the theory that Stalin was inspired by Orson Wells’s famous radio adaptation of the HG Wells novel War of the Worlds, which provoked hysteria across America when broadcast in 1938. According to the book, the plot started after the Soviet Unionseized from Germany at the end of the war the jet-propelled, single wing Horton Ho 229 – a fighter said to be the forerunner of the modern B2 stealth bomber.

This is where Mengele enters the story. The Nazi doctor, who experimented on prisoners in Auschwitz and fled to South America after the war, was supposedly enlisted to create a crew of “grotesque, child-size aviators” in return for a eugenics laboratory.

The book says that the plane was filled with “alien-like” children, aged 12 or 13, who Stalin wanted to land in America and cause hysteria similar to the 1938 broadcast. But, the plane, remotely piloted by another aircraft, crashed and the Americans hushed up the incident.

Jacobsen’s source, a retired engineer from the former defence company EG&G, which handled the US government’s most sensitive projects, said he was put on to the Roswell project in Area 51 in 1978.

Miss Jacobsen writes: “They found bodies alongside the crashed craft. These were not aliens. Nor were they consenting airmen. They were human guinea pigs. Unusually petite for pilots, they appeared to be children. Each was under five feet tall.

“They were grotesquely deformed, but each in the same manner as the others. They had unusually large heads and abnormally shaped oversize eyes.”

Two were supposedly found “comatose but still alive”.

The EG&G engineers were told “that seeing the bodies would be a shocking and disturbing experience”.

Perhaps not surprisingly, a spokesman for the US Air Force said: “We have not yet read this book so we are not able to make a comment on it.”

IS THIS ACTUAL FOOTAGE OF A LIVING ALIEN GREY?

This video, first reported by Michael Cohen of allnewsweb.com, claims to show archival secret footage of an alien Grey. Here’s the text that accompanied the video:

Alien footage leaked of Roswell UFO crash survivor

Michael Cohen m.cohen@allnewsweb.com

Old footage showing a “grey” type alien who might have been a survivor of the Roswell UFO crash that occurred over sixty years ago in New Mexico has been released onto the Internet. The black and white clip is allegedly part of a much larger collection of footage that was filmed by government agents working on top secret UFO and alien matters between the years 1942 and 1969. Only a fraction of the much longer 180 minute archive of footage has been released thus so far.

The people or person who leaked the footage alleges to have done so anonymously as a precaution to ensure their safety. The alien seen in the video is clearly humanoid and is said to originate from the nearby Zeta Reticuli star system. As can be seen he is wearing the tight fitting space suit so commonly described by those who have experienced close encounters with aliens

It is this publication’s believe that this footage is genuine and this is yet another deliberate leak attesting to government knowledge on the UFO issue on the road to to an official announcement of knowledge of alien visitors to Earth.

WAS STAR TREK’S “ENTERPRISE” HOVERING OVER ROYAL WEDDING?

Wow, I swear I could have seen this episode where Kirk, Spock and McCoy have to travel back in time to avert a royal wedding disaster, making sure the perfect wedding dress arrives just in the nick of time to prevent Kate Middleton from having a bridezilla meltdown in front of millions, and thus changing the entire course of human history…

LONDON: Looks like Prince William and fiancee Kate Middleton will have some unexpected guests at their wedding. A tourist has reportedly filmed a UFO hovering over Westminster Abbey, the venue for Friday’s royal wedding.

The two-and-a half-minute video footage shows a shimmering white object in a cloudless blue sky near Big Ben. It seems to move and shift shape, but to have three sections, like the starship USS Enterprise from TV’s Star Trek.

“First we thought it was a parachute but it was way too high up,” the Sun quoted the tourist as posting it on the Internet. “It changed shape but stayed there for at least 30 minutes. Then I lost sight of it,” the tourist added.

Source:  http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/2011-04-29/uk/29487059_1_royal-wedding-kate-middleton-prince-william-and-fiancee

Then again, maybe Kirk and the boys were just crashing the royal wedding, 23rd Century-style.  All joking aside, apparently it’s not unusual for UFOs to show up at big events like the royal wedding, in fact it was predicted by a former Air Force officer just days before the event:

The upcoming royal wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton is expected to be viewed by more than a billion people worldwide — and possibly a few extraterrestrials, according to at least one former military officer.

George Filer, a retired Air Force major, runs the National UFO Center and says it’s common to see UFOs around important events.

“The craft seem to have an interest in anything important,” Filer told AOL News. “They’ve been sighted recently over Libya and near the Japanese tsunami.”

Filer says his center averages more than 1,000 sightings a month, and he expects to get a few UFO reports from the area surrounding Westminster Abbey, the site of the April 29 wedding.

There are two reasons behind Filer’s prediction: In the last few weeks, he’s been getting reports from British Royal Air Force pilots who reported seeing UFOs over the English Channel, and, more importantly, he says the royal family is very interested in the UFO phenomenon.

Filer knows this personally because he once had a conversation about UFOs with William’s grandfather, Prince Philip.

“It was around 1961 or ’62, when I was a navigator in a tanker,” Filer said. “He met with a group of us after a dinner because he wanted to talk about UFOs. He told us that the RAF had stopped sending fighters after UFOs because some of them didn’t come back.

“They decided to send tankers, which were nearly as fast as the fighters but could hold 15 hours of fuel, compared to two for the fighters.”

Filer says the prince also revealed that his interest in UFOs was more than just concerns of national security — it was personal.

“I asked him why he was so interested in UFOs and he explained that his uncle, the Earl Mountbatten, had seen them up close,” Filer said.

Even though the meeting took place during the Cold War, Filer discounts the underlying possibility that the UFOs seen during the period were actually Soviet craft.

“That was always a possibility, but it seemed unlikely since these craft were bigger than expected — it’s like an aircraft carrier in space,” he said. “However, the Soviets did try to penetrate the airspace of the United Kingdom and the United States quite regularly.”

Filer’s account of Prince Philip’s UFO interest gets support from Colin Andrews, a renowned investigator of crop circles in Britain during the 1980s. Crop circles — a term coined by Andrews — are mysterious patterns, created by the flattening of crops, that many people believe have been created by extraterrestrials.

“The queen even put a book of mine about the subject, called ‘Circular Evidence,’ on her official summer reading list, the first paranormal book ever included,” Andrews told AOL News. “Prince Philip and the queen are particularly interested in the subject. And their interest seems to be based on personal experiences.”

Andrews says the queen even sent him a letter confirming that very fact, despite official denials from the British government and the royal family.

“I have numerous documents attesting to that, even though Nick Pope, the head of the UFO project of the Ministry of Defense, publicly stated the queen and the government had no official interest in UFOs,” Andrews said. “I believe he was under instruction to make that statement and he later confirmed that during a live interview with the BBC.”

Andrews posted the queen’s letter on his website but was asked to remove it because it was a “personal” correspondence not meant for public consumption.

“The royal family has not just an interest in UFOs and crop circles, but a great interest,” Andrews added. “And that includes Prince Charles and the late Princess Di.

“As for Prince William, I’d be surprised if he wasn’t interested as well.”

WAS JFK ASSASSINATED BECAUSE HE WANTED TO UNCOVER UFO FILES?

Assassination: Was JFK shot to stop him discovering the truth about UFOs?

Last week Lee Speigel of AOL News wrote this very interesting piece about the possibility that there was a connection between JFK’s interest in UFOs and his assassination. Pretty fascinating stuff!

Do you like a good UFO detective story? Well, here’s one for you. And it’s ongoing, so we don’t yet know the ending. It involves President John F. Kennedy’s interest in UFOs shortly before his death and an allegation that he may have angered officials in his administration when he asked for information on the subject.

Recently, the FBI opened a new website, “The Vault,” that lets you view a variety of documents, including those regarding UFOs. I looked into one document that appears to include a phony UFO story and mentioned how important it is to be extremely careful when looking at UFO documents and how it’s critical to know the background of this information.

While researching materials for his new book, “A Celebration of Freedom: JFK and the New Frontier” (Wasteland Press), Atlanta, Ga., history teacherWilliam Lester used the Freedom of Information Act to get some previously classified documents.

Two of them were written by Kennedy on the same date, Nov. 12, 1963 — 10 days before his assassination. One was to the CIA director, asking for UFO files (See JFK Doc 2); the other was to the NASA administrator, with Kennedy expressing a desire for cooperation with the former Soviet Union on mutual outer space activities (See JFK Doc 3).

“One of his concerns was that a lot of these UFOs were being seen over the Soviet Union and he was very concerned that the Soviets might misinterpret these UFOs as U.S. aggression, believing that it was some of our technology,” Lester told AOL News.

“I think this is one of the reasons why he wanted to get his hands on this information and get it away from the jurisdiction of NASA so he could say to the Soviets, ‘Look, that’s not us, we’re not doing it, we’re not being provocative. In fact, just to show you that it’s not us, what do you think about us working together on the exploration of space?'” Lester added.

Also in his book, Lester reprints an intriguing letter written by Maxwell W. Hunter of the National Aeronautics and Space Council (from the executive office of the president) to Robert F. Packard of the Office of International Scientific Affairs.

Hunter was a pioneer rocket scientist and scientific adviser to both Presidents Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson. He wrote this 1963 letter, titled “Thoughts on the Space Alien Race Question.”

This is not the first time these and more provocative UFO-related documents have surfaced over the last several decades. Many files point to earlier presidents, Harry S. Truman and Dwight D. Eisenhower, as also being interested in the UFO subject.

Perhaps the most intensely scrutinized documents ever to emerge on UFOs have come to be known as the Majestic 12 or MJ-12. This was a reference to a top-secret group of military officials and scientists allegedly appointed by Truman in 1947 to keep close tabs on the activities of alien beings on Earth after a reported UFO crash near Roswell, N.M.

Let’s try to sort out the facts.

In 1984, the MJ-12 documents first appeared when a UFO researcher, Jaime Shandera, received a plain brown envelope that contained a roll of 35mm black-and-white film that developed into a multipage 1952 document — presumably created for Eisenhower — regarding something called “Operation Majestic 12.”

When the MJ-12 documents were eventually made public around 1987, skeptics poured out of the woodwork, condemning the documents as fraudulent and totally dismissing them.

To get some much needed credible information about the documents, I turned to Linda Moulton Howe, a renowned investigative reporter who explored the MJ-12 materials in 2008. An excellent, in-depth series of reports on her efforts to uncover the truth of the MJ-12 story can be found at herEarthfiles website.

“It’s the Catch-22 circle that counter-intel is so good at and they depend on it to divert 99 1/2 percent of the public and the media. And that is, you just put out the word ‘This is a hoax’ and the population accepts it, and they know that, and they have done this,” said Howe, a multiple Emmy Award-winning TV producer and critically acclaimed author of numerous books, including “Glimpses of Other Realities, Volumes I and II” (Linda Moulton Howe Productions).

“So, whether it’s swamp gas, weather balloons, hoaxes of hubcaps being thrown up into the air — the government’s efforts back in the late ’40s and early ’50s became preposterous and cartoonish to try to get control of a subject that they knew was absolutely critical,” Howe told AOL News.

The controversy surrounding MJ-12 is a prime example of the age-old “he said, she said” battle in the universe of UFO believers and skeptics.

But MJ-12 has taken on a life of its own because of the large volume of documents and the attention to detail within, including the verification process conducted by serious researchers into specific files that suggest government officials were unhappy with Kennedy’s interest in UFOs.

I contacted the John F. Kennedy Library in Boston, searching for information about JFK’s UFO interest. I was told they didn’t catalogue that kind of thing there, but they gave me the names of five Kennedy biographer/historians — Robert Dallek, James Giglio, Doris Kearns Goodwin, Michael O’Brien and Laurence Leamer.

When I reached out to them for any information they might provide, the responses ranged from “I can’t help you,” “I had not uncovered any information relating to JFK’s interest in UFOs” and “I’m afraid I know nothing about JFK’s interest in UFOs” to “I don’t know anything about it. Maybe when he heard ‘unidentified foreign objects,’ he thought they were European women.”

So, I kept digging.

And Howe connected me with the man she worked closely with in 2008 on the MJ-12 documents. The conversation I had with physicist/aeronautical engineer Robert Wood, former deputy director of McDonnell Douglas — the major aerospace manufacturer and defense contractor — really opened my eyes.

In the 1960s, Wood led a McDonnell Douglas team to study UFOs and he’s put a huge amount of investigative work into the MJ-12 documents. His website offers a stunning display of MJ-12 items, complete with individual document analysis, and he’s collaborated with Howe to piece together and authenticate these eye-opening files.

After a 43-year career with McDonnell Douglas, Wood retired in 1993. That, coupled with more than three decades of investigating UFOs, makes him a highly credible voice about the phenomenon. At McDonnell Douglas, “We had authority to look at how UFOs might work, with gravity-controlled devices. And I hired (nuclear physicist) Stanton Friedman — it was the first job he ever had that paid him to study UFOs,” Wood said about the man widely considered the hardest-working UFO investigator today, who offers his own critique of MJ-12 skepticism and debunkers.

“There are those who believe (despite evidence to the contrary) that no alien spacecraft have ever visited Earth. Therefore, any documents saying that they have must be false,” Friedman pointed out. “No need to do a detailed investigation, to spend time in archives, research the people involved, etc. They must be fraudulent!”

Under the auspices of McDonnell Douglas, Friedman worked closely with Wood looking into reports, including stories told by alleged UFO abductees. “We didn’t get any breakthroughs and our report was never submitted to the government — it was a McDonnell Douglas project — and so we never told the government about it,” Wood said.

In the 1990s, Wood obtained a series of the MJ-12 documents, including something known as the “burned” memo — believed to have been written in the early 1960s — that was reportedly saved from being burned, presumably to forever hide important UFO information, including parts that referred to Kennedy.

The memo contains a reference to “Lancer,” which was John F. Kennedy’s Secret Service code name.

The first page of the now-infamous burned memo (See JFK Doc 4), reportedly written by the director of Central Intelligence, said:

“As you must know, Lancer has made some inquiries regarding our activities, which we cannot allow. Please submit your views no later than October. Your action to this matter is critical to the continuance of the group.”

To authenticate the documents, Wood turned to forensics and linguistics specialists who carefully looked at things like the paper they were printed on, ink age, watermarks, font types and other markings.

“I hired a forensics company to check the age of the ink and to check several other things that you can date, using the same techniques you’d use in a court of law,” Wood explained. “And all the critics who wave their arms and say, ‘Well, you can duplicate anything,’ they forget about the fact that these documents actually showed up in the public domain long before our sophisticated techniques got on the market.

“I never figured out who the original document leaker was or what they thought I would do with it, other than what I’ve done, which has been to discuss it professionally, ethically and from a point of view of intellectual curiosity.”

After gathering all their information, Wood and his son, Ryan, produced a 2008 television documentary, “The Secret,” shown on the then Sci Fi Channel.

After exhaustive hands-on analysis of the MJ-12 documents, including the volatile burned memo, Wood came to some striking conclusions:

“I think the most important set of documents are the ones that show that we started this program in 1942, after recovering the first craft in 1941 — at the beginning of the war, just a few days after Pearl Harbor.

“The second most important set of documents, I think, is the one that links this to the JFK assassination, and that’s the burned memo.

“And the third most important documents were the ones that deal with what we were doing about it in the ’50s, how we were going to absorb the technology and reverse-engineer it, and how it would affect our entire structure of technology.

“That’s my assessment of its relative importance. The most important idea that people have not grasped at all is that this program started in early 1942. The second most important idea is that the program is not under the control of the president and when the president was about to leak it, they bumped him off.”

Wood’s implication that JFK was killed because of his interest in UFOs is startling, to say the least. But he’s not the only person who considers this a possibility.

“I think Kennedy was very interested in UFOs on several fronts,” Lester suggested after finishing his book on Kennedy’s life.

“There seemed to be kind of an idealistic scientific angle to it, but there was also this hardcore tactical angle that he was trying to successfully play, in what were very volatile times.

“It’s almost impossible for me to believe that there’s no connection. Now I couldn’t go into a courtroom and prove that there was a direct correlation, but I find it hard to believe that there’s no connection there.”

If this is all true, then it opens the biggest can of worms ever. And yet, Wood’s background and integrity shouldn’t be taken lightly.

“People always ask me, ‘How would the government keep a secret,’ because everybody knows that governments don’t keep secrets,” Wood said.

“As I got involved in classified work, I concluded a couple of things: the higher your clearance level and the more sophisticated the program was, the smarter the people were in the room, almost without exception.

“These guys get smarter and smarter the more complex it is or the more secret it is, and therefore, they are very clever and have a lot of enjoyment in figuring out how to accomplish their missions, which is to keep the public in the dark.”

Certainly Wood’s career achievements are not in dispute, so there doesn’t seem to be a reason for him to be lying or making this stuff up. And, by the way, he doesn’t think there’s just one group of ETs visiting us.

“There’s another dimension here that people don’t always integrate and that is, what’s the aliens’ role in this matter? I’m satisfied there’s at least six kinds and they each have their own agendas. It seems like the only thing that’s the same is that none of them really want to come out and openly admit that they’re here.”

Are the MJ-12 documents real or phony? So much mystery still swirls around the assassination of JFK. For conspiracy theorists this is only more fuel on the fire. To be sure, the debate will continue. But for now, with the information presented here, you can make up your own mind.

At the very least, it’ll give you something to wonder about.
